Altior trainer Roy Morgan confirmed as a speaker at LAPG Conference

Altior's advocacy trainer, Roy Morgan has been confirmed as a speaker for the LAPG annual conference taking place in Leeds on Friday 7th October, where he will be presenting and conducting a workshop session on time and stress management at 12noon - 1pm.

With over 20 years of trainer experience, Roy is now our lead advocacy tutor in London and can bring a breadth of knowledge and expertise to the conference. 

Before the conference, the LAPG is hosting a dinner on the 6th October and is open to all conference delegates and non-delegates and is an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues. The conference offers a topical and informative mix of workshops, presentations and panel discussions, all designed to bring legal aid lawyers up to date on the latest developments from the sector. 

Delegates can choose from a range of workshops delivered by sector experts, covering issues such as civil and family costs, stress management, updates on family law, practice development and immigration law for social welfare lawyers.

About the speaker

Roy-MorganRoy Morgan is a Solicitor Advocate and experienced legal trainer.  He founded his own practice in 1985 that became one of the largest practices in Wales and joint top criminal law firm; he was described as a leading light in criminal law (Legal 500).

He has regularly exercised his rights of audience in the Crown Court and, with more than 30 years’ experience, has extensive knowledge of all aspects of Magistrates’ and Higher Court advocacy.  Roy is Kaplan Altior’s lead advocacy tutor and assessor for the Higher Rights of Audience (Criminal) training and assessment.  He also trains and assesses the advocacy module of the PSC, conducts CPD courses on such matters as trial preparation, handling expert evidence, cross-examination techniques.
