This course allows delegates fulfil their family advocacy CPD requirements to continue practicing as an advocate in the Family Court. During the course delegates will be able to enhance their advocacy skills and develop an appreciation of different styles of advocacy.
The course covers applications under the Family Law Act 1996 and proceedings under the Adoption and Children Act 2002. The course will focus on advocacy at Case Management/Directions Hearings and effective advocacy in cases involving domestic violence.
Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss issues they may have encountered in practice with experienced practitioners, who will be on hand to provide helpful guidance to enable them to become more effective advocates.
