Blended solution for on-boarding trainees
In any modern law firm the client is king. A large London commercial law firm, needed a flexible training solution that would fit neatly with their trainee solicitors’ on-boarding process. The most practical solution would be to involve the trainee solicitors in making decisions about their own development pathways. We developed an approach that was both innovative and inclusive.
Driving change through tailored programmes
Changing policies and processes with an established organisation requires a great deal of consideration and planning. A high-profile city law firm found themselves facing this challenge whilst launching a series of new internal processes alongside a new procedure manual. Altior created a bespoke training programme to tackle the issue head-on.
Eliminate capability gaps with bespoke solutions
The recovery of aged debt had become a significant problem for one of our clients, a high profile off-shore law firm. Addressing the issue Altior developed a multi-day specialist skills programme that would both improve technique in this area but also overcome the challenge of encompassing a broad range of audience, each with different skill-set.
Empowering through the art of advocacy
It is said that the essence of good advocacy is the art of persuasion: the ability to understand your audience and put your case to that audience in a way which they will find palatable and believable. Our client, an examination board needed to up-skill their key people in the art of advocacy, specifically for appearance at appeals hearings. We developed a programme that would improve delegate confidence and allow them to practice new skills in a safe environment.
Flexible solutions for demanding schedules
Altior was approached by a niche criminal law practice that was looking to gain the Higher Rights of Audience accreditation for
a number of their solicitors. As a busy practice, the solicitors had demanding work schedules, often in Magistrates and Youth Court hearings. We developed a solution that meant no delegate was excluded from the training and time in Court was not compromised.
Innovation overcomes internal challenges
A high profile commercial firm experienced difficulties in ensuring regulatory training requirements for a number of their employees. Having secured places on an alternative provider’s solution, the firm found its employees struggled to meet the demanding needs of the 2 week long programme. Altior created an innovative version of the training that could be delivered within a more manageable timeframe for busy delegates.
