Roy Morgan

Roy is a solicitor-advocate and Certified Fraud Examiner.  He founded his own practice in 1985 that became one of the largest practices in Wales and joint top Criminal law firm.

Described as “a leading light in Criminal law” (Legal 500) with more than 30 years’ advocacy experience, Roy is Altior’s lead advocacy trainer and assessor for the Higher Rights of Audience (Criminal)Advocacy & Communication Skills and CILEx Criminal Proceedings Advocacy Skills.  He also conducts courses on such matters as Trial Strategy PlanningHanding Experts and Criminal Cross-Examination Techniques.

A former Chair of LAPG and past President of Cardiff and District Law Society, Roy has sat on various working groups and given evidence before the Select Committee on the delivery of legal services.  He also delivers practical skills courses such as Business Development & Networking Skills and Time & Stress Management.

Roy pioneered a number of projects and pilots for the delivery of legal services, is a media spokesperson on legal matters and has featured on various BBC television and radio programmes (Lawyers Casebook, Good Morning WalesTodayThe Jeremy Vine Show and The One Show).
