The ability to manage successful working relationships with all people is much admired in a professional firm and comprising two sessions, this course gives delegates clear approaches in two crucial areas: supervision of others and their work and managing teams through excellent stewardship.
Session 1 - Successful Supervision
Even without having the title 'supervisor', professionals need to be able to get work done through others more junior from time to time. This session shows you how to start the process in the right way and includes:
- Supervision, management and relationship explained
- Leading learning in your work group
- Briefing and assessing work
Session 2 - Improved Individual Performance
In today's competitive environment, improving the performance of others as part of the 'learning organisation'; is no longer an option but an essential part of economic prosperity. This session shows you how to deal with key issues in all work groups and includes:
- Conflict management
- Motivation, ability and confidence building in people
- Team performance through individual contributions
This course is specifically tailored to:
Qualified solicitors with 2-4 years PQE
More junior solicitors who are given earlier responsibility for managing others
More experienced professionals who seek a refresher and update on their existing skill set and wish to comply with the SRA Statement of Solicitor Competence.
